Empowering Panthers Program

Arkansas State University-Beebe recently sponsored the Empowering Panthers program, which recognizes student achievements at Cabot High School. ASUB presented $4,000 in scholarships to the Cabot Panther Foundation in each student’s honor. 

ASUB Chancellor, Dr. Karla Fisher, said “We congratulate these students for their achievements in and out of the classroom and hope many other students will be able to use these scholarships to achieve their higher education goals.” 


The ASUB Empowering Panthers program honors students for their academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and community service. Students recognized were Brooke Ashworth, Kaytlyn Crowder, Cameron Earles, Conner Gaunt, Ashlee Hankins, Hannah Heflin, Evan Hooper, Hunter Kloss, Ian Marryfield, Maggie Martin, Allicen Morris, Derek Peek, Maddie Scott, Joseph Simpson, Anna Snyder, and Meagan Wilson. 


During the halftime basketball games for Cabot Panthers, ASUB presented each student with an award plaque and a certificate toward tuition for a class, valued at $350. Additionally, for each student receiving the Empowering Panthers program honor, a check for $250 was donated to the Cabot Panther Foundation to help provide scholarships for students in the Cabot School District.
