Published: February 26 2015

The 2015 Career and Transfer Expo at Arkansas State University–Beebe will be held on Tuesday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Owen Center gymnasium.

Hosted by the Career and Transfer Services, the event is open to the public and connects potential employers with qualified applicants.

Additionally, students interested in possible transfer will have an opportunity to identify educational opportunities in their fields of interest, and speak with representatives from other universities in attendance.

Representatives from more than 25 area businesses and 20 colleges and universities will be available to answer questions regarding career, internships, and higher education learning opportunities.  Employers will have the opportunity to publicize positions that are currently, or often, available with their companies.  Students, alumni, and community members may fill out applications, submit resumes, and learn about participating organizations and their employment needs.  College recruiters will be available to answer questions regarding transfer requirements and program essentials.

Some of the colleges and universities represented will include University of Arkansas, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, University of Central Arkansas, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and Baptist Health. Employers include Acxiom, Arkansas Department of Human Services, Arkansas State Police, City of Jacksonville, City of Sherwood, Department of Workforce Services, Ingen Software, Lowes, Staffmark, and The Heritage Company.
