Born and raised in Jonesboro, Faith attended Nettleton High School, where she was active in band, Spanish club, science club, math club and PS42, a Christian-based student led worship club.
Faith is pursuing a degree in business, and like any smart businessperson, affordability was a key factor in choosing ASU-Beebe. Her favorite classes are accounting and macroeconomics because she enjoys the mathematics and statistics involved with running a business. “I have always been told that I would make a good manager and I really enjoy communicating with people,” said Faith.
Faith has been unstoppable since becoming a part of the Vanguard family. Staying true to her obliging nature, she serves as the Student Government Association secretary as well as holding a position as Resident Assistant in Legacy Hall. As an RA, she handles resident issues, management and resources. Faith is also involved with TRIO and the BCM (Baptist College Ministry) and volunteers in her free time doing community outreach with her church.
Faith especially enjoys the responsibility involved with being SGA secretary. The Student Government Association meets monthly, and students are invited to speak at open-floor discussions where their concerns and suggestions are heard and considered. “I especially love to work with the other student leaders as a team,” said Faith. Students have the opportunity to join committees like the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, as well as other avenues for involvement.
Upon graduation from ASU Beebe, Faith plans to attend either Arkansas Tech or Arkansas State University using the 2+2 agreement to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business. Inspired by her two older siblings, she firmly believes that education truly matters and will broaden and open more doors in life. Faith has enjoyed her whole college experience so far, especially a trip she took last May to Washington, DC with a group of her fellow student leader scholars. Faith is grateful for the unique opportunities the college experience has offered her.
Faith’s claim to fame is getting on stage with Toby Mac, LeCrae, and Mandisa when she was 14 years old! She attended a concert in Little Rock where she was brought on stage and able to sing and dance beside some of her favorite musical artists. She plans to attend another concert in the near future and hopes to do it all again.
