"Transforming Lives Through Quality Learning Experiences"

Little Rock Air Force Base

ASU-Little Rock Air Force Base

Our campus is a key component of ASU-Beebe, and one of six universities in residence at Little Rock Air Force Base Education Center.  We have been serving Little Rock Air Force Base, Jacksonville and the North Pulaski County area since 1965.

In January 2011, we relocated to the new Jacksonville-Little Rock Air Force Base University Center, a new higher education facility jointly funded by the US Air Force and the City of Jacksonville.  The University Center is open to those who live on and work at the base, as well to community members.  No special access is required at the University Center, and prospective students are welcome to visit our office in Suite 115, or to contact us by telephone (501) 988-4151 or by email to lrafb@asub.edu.

We offer classes in five 8-week terms annually, as well as traditional semester-length classes in the fall and spring, and a 10-week summer semester.  Classes are offered during the daytime--including mornings, at lunchtime, and in the late afternoon.  Evening and weekend formatted classes are also available.  Online classes in both 8- and 16-week formats are available through our Distance Learning department at the Beebe campus.

Our degree and certificate programs at the ASU-LRAFB include: Associate of Arts degrees in Computer Information Systems, Liberal Arts and Teaching; the Associate of Science in Health Sciences; and Certificates of Proficiency in Automobile and Household Upholstery.  Additionally, we offer two examination-for-credit programs--the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support (DANTES).  COMPASS testing is available by appointment.  These are available to our students and the general public.

A special ASU-LRAFB orientation program is offered to each new student at our campus, and explains the special features and requirements of our unique University Center.  A special "Combat Orientation" is also given to all current ASU-Beebe students, who are new to taking classes at ASU-LRAFB.

As a campus of ASU-Beebe, our ASU-LRAFB campus students may access all of the services we offer at our main campus in Beebe.  These include the Abington Library, free tutoring at The Learning Center, the campus Bookstore, and many cultural and recreational activities.

We are available to guide you in your pursuit of your higher education goals!
