Arkansas State University-Searcy, a technical campus of ASU-Beebe, invites the public to bid farewell to Vice Chancellor for ASU-Searcy Don Harlan, and also welcome Barry Farris to serve as the new vice chancellor for the Searcy campus.
The event will be held Monday, June 30, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Main Building, Room 117 on the Searcy campus.
Harlan has worked as a state employee since 1970, and began working for ASU-Searcy, formerly Foothills Technical Institute, in 2001. He assisted with the ASU-Beebe merger in 2003.
Farris is currently Vice-Chancellor for External and Advanced Programs, which coordinates the ASU-Jonesboro programs held on the Beebe campus. He began his tenure with ASU-Beebe in 1984 as an agriculture instructor, and also served as a division chair for business and agriculture.
