Arkansas State University–Beebe has received top online rankings in quality

and affordability of programs and services offered, as well as recognition of

the Pharmacy Technician program in particular.

 

ASU-Beebe

 

was ranked first in the state and thirteenth in the nation among most Affordable

Community Colleges at AffordableColleges.com by Integrated Postsecondary

Education Data System (IPEDS), which is managed by the U.S. Department of

Education. IPEDS also ranked the university fourth in Best Community College in

Arkansas by BestColleges.com and fourth in Best Online College in Arkansas by OnlineColleges.com.

 

These

 

online rankings were based on criteria that includes cost, financial aid and

loan default rates, student services, program availability, student-teacher

ratios, and graduation rates.

 

Whether

 

students need job skills in a year or less to enter the workforce or are

looking to complete bachelor’s degrees or beyond, ASU-Beebe offers degree

options at an affordable price. At $98 per credit hour, the university offers the

lowest tuition in Central Arkansas. The Online College offers students an

opportunity to earn a variety of distance learning degrees, some completely

online while others are a combination of online, internet-assisted, and/or

traditional classes. The Online College offers several degrees that can be

earned 100% online.

 

Additionally,

 

the Pharmacy Technician program has been recognized for educational excellence

by the Community for Accredited Online Schools at http://www.accreditedschoolsonline.org/vocational-trade-school/pharmacy-technician/ The

program was ranked first among two-year colleges in the nation. To meet the high demands of the

healthcare job market, the Pharmacy Technician program offers certification to

technicians who assist pharmacists in dispensing medications to patients.

 

The

 

Pharmacy Technician program requires students to earn 60 credit hours, which

can be completed within two years or four semesters. Students need to complete

academic coursework and a few weeks of clinical rotation. Graduates of this

program are qualified to take the Institute for Certification of Pharmacy

Technician exam (ICPT) or the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCB).

These certifications are necessary so that graduates can obtain employment

easily in different pharmaceutical environments.

Arkansas

 

State University-Beebe is an operationally separate, two-year institution

of the Arkansas State University System.  With campuses located in

Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy, the Little Rock Air Force Base, and

online, the university offers associate degrees, certificates, and
