Fallen Heroes Memorial Display Begins July 1
Published: June 27 2016

The Arkansas Fallen Heroes Traveling Memorial will be on display at Arkansas State University–Beebe on July 1 through July 8.

This memorial was founded by Rob Hopper, of Wynne, as a tribute to his son who died January 26, 2005 in Western Iraq after his helicopter crashed. It is also a tribute to all Arkansas natives who have fallen in the line of duty.

In May 2014, Arkansas Run for the Fallen began displaying this memorial flag field.  Arkansas Run for the Fallen is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise awareness for the native Arkansans who fought and died supporting the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). The purpose is also to provide support, hope and healing to families grieving the death of a loved one in military service regardless of relationship or circumstance of death.

The Arkansas Fallen Heroes Traveling Memorial may be viewed at the intersection of Dewitt Henry Drive and ASU-Beebe Boulevard, beside the Advanced Technology and Allied Health Building. To learn more about the heroes that are honored or for more information, visit www.arkansasrunforthefallen.org.
