What better place to earn an Associate of Environmental Science, than beautiful ASU‐Heber Springs located at the foot of Sugarloaf Mtn. and nearby Little Red River and Greers Ferry Lake in north central Arkansas.
With increased concern for the world where we live, environmental science makes for a growing field with the need for employees who have an understanding of environmental issues and policy. Government agencies and the private sector have the need for field researchers and compliance officers to collect data, analyze data or prepare report and plans as well as address environmental issues and problems.
The Associate of Environmental Science requires 60 hours of coursework with the classes being held at ASU-Heber Springs. Upon completion of the degree, students can transfer to a 4-year institution for a Bachelor of Environmental Science. ASU-Heber Springs has agreements Arkansas State University, Southern Arkansas University and the University of Central Arkansas for students seeking bachelor’s degrees in environmental science.
