USA Ballet presents The Three Little PigsThursday, August 31, 2006 USA Ballet is a world class international ballet company based in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. The company will provide a stirring performance of the Three Little Pigs. Based on the famous fairytale, this work, because of popularity, was expanded to a full evening ballet by child prodigy Tarashina Masi. |

Tammie BurgerThursday, September 14, 2006 Dr. Tammie Burger participated in a jazz combo, Tammie Lynn and Company, for 15 years in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and directed numerous musical theater shows including Hello Dolly, Annie Get Your Gun, Calamity Jane, Meet Me in St. Louis, and Wizard of Oz. She currently directs The Singers, and teaches Theory and Ear Training, piano, and Fine Arts Musical and ASU-Beebe. |

Ain't I a Woman!Friday, February 2, 2007 This is a Chamber Music Theatre work for actress and trio (cello, piano, percussion). It celebrates the life and times of four African American women: ex-slave and fiery abolitionist Sojouner Truth, renowned novelist and anthropologist Zora Neale Hurston, exuberant folk artist Clementine Hunter, and fervent civil rights worker Fannie Lou Hamer. The musical score is drawn from the heartfelt spirituals of the Deep South, the urban exuberance of the Jazz Age, and contemporary concert music by African Americans. |
