I earned my bachelor's degree as a non-traditional student, attending classes after my youngest child started kindergarten. I then taught high school for seven years in south Arkansas, and during that time decided to attend graduate school in the evening, completing my master’s degree. I later left the high school environment to teach in the higher education setting, actually getting to teach at my alma mater, Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. I joined the faculty at ASU-Beebe in the Fall of 2014.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my three grown children, and my grandchildren and feel very fortunate that they all live fairly close by. I also like to read, crochet and work jigsaw puzzles.
