Experience

After working five years for The Beebe News, I began my career at ASUB as secretary for Public Information in 1995. In addition to answering the main switchboard for the university, I served as editor of the weekly Campus Update for 20 years, before the newsletter was transformed into the Vanguard News. I also assisted the director in managing the news writing and advertising for the media.

I have been fortunate to see many changes in marketing and public relations over the years. My job duties evolved, as Marketing and PR moved under Institutional Advancement and began utilizing more social media and digital advertising.  In addition to news writing, photography, and advertising, the office is responsible for internal and external communications, branding and image management, website design/content, and crisis communications.

I have also had the opportunity to work with fellow employees on several committees over the years, such as Staff Senate, Assessment of Functional Performance, and the L.E.A.D. program. My husband, Ronny, and I live in Beebe, and have three grown children, and three grandchildren. We enjoy camping, traveling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
