Apprenticeship Programs

Four apprenticeship programs are conducted on the ASU-Searcy campus.

Students must be employed in the specific field for which they are applying. ASU-Searcy supplies the classroom hours required by the state in order for that apprentice to take his/her certification license test in the desired field. The student must be gaining on-the-job training hours for the individual program he/she is enrolled. Each program is controlled by a local committee and is made up of business and industry representatives from that specific field. The committee sets the tuition and makes all the decisions regarding the programs.

Classes for each of the apprenticeship programs usually begin in the fall but students can register for classes throughout the school year. Tuition prices vary for each program. The Department of Workforce Education and the Department of Labor for the state of Arkansas approves all apprenticeship programs taught at the Searcy campus.
