The ASU-Beebe Theatre Department is pleased to announce the performance of the action-packed play "The Phantom Tollbooth!"
Two performances will be given, with the first show on Friday, December 8th at 12:30 p.m. for area school children. Admission is free. Individuals who wish to bring groups to the Friday showing should call or email Sandra Williams to reserve seating, (501) 882-4493, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The second showing, Saturday, December 9th at 7:30 p.m. is a benefit performance for the public and any donations given will be used to support this year’s Giving Tree project.
“Come travel with Milo to the Land of Wisdom, Dictionopolis, Digitopolis and the Land of Ignorance as he attempts to save two Princesses, Sweet Rhyme and Pure Reason! Milo adventures to the Land of Wisdom, where he is forced to think about many new things. He learns of the argument between King Azaz and his brother, the Mathemagician, whose disagreement over words and numbers has led to the banishment of Princesses Sweet Rhyme and Pure Reason. Milo is dispatched to rescue the Princesses. When he must return home, Milo's sorry to leave his friends but he realizes his attitude towards learning will never be the same.”
This classic by Norton Juster has been adapted by Susan Nunus for the stage and is great fun for both children and adults. Join us and help create the world of “The Phantom Tollbooth!”
