Course Placement Chart
Proper course placement is critical to student success. Often times, students don't know why they are taking the ACT or Compass and therefore don't take the test seriously the first time. When this occurs, the student does not have a good baseline for their placement scores.
When a student does not have a good baseline, it is difficult for an advisor to know whether the student is being placed in the appropriate level course-the course may be too difficult or may not be challenging enough. Therefore, it is recommended that students take a placement test at least twice.
