What is Verification?
Verification means the student's application is selected by the Federal Processing Center for the financial aid office to obtain tax documents from the family to verify accuracy of the application.
What documents are needed by the financial aid office?
DEPENDENT STUDENTS
- Student’s 2008 federal income tax return and W-2’s
- Parent’s 2008 federal income tax return and both parents’ W-2’s and Business income schedules, (e.g. C, E)
- Completed Verification form with parent signature.
INDEPENDENT STUDENTS
- Student/Spouse 2008 federal income tax return and W-2’s and Business income schedules, (e.g. C, E)
- Completed Verification form.
