Scholarship Opportunities:
- Arkansas Geographical Critical Needs Minority Teacher Scholarship: Applications available in the Financial Aid Office. Fall 2008 deadline is July 5, 2008 and spring 2009 deadline is October 10, 2008.
- Tylenol Scholarship: Tuition assistance for Healthcare students. Apply at http://www.tylenol.com/scholarship (use access key TYLN). Application deadline is May 15, 2008.
2008-2009 Financial Aid Applications:
- Financial Aid Applications for the 2008-2009 academic year became available January 1, 2008.
Academic Challenge Hour Requirement Notice:
Academic challenge students must be registered in
the required 15 credit hours to receive the award for Spring 2008 Semester.
If you are not registered in the required hours, the Academic Challenge Award will be canceled and you will owe for your class schedule.
If you have questions concerning Academic Challenge, contact Delana Mote in the Financial Aid Office at 882-8245.
Financial Aid Refund Checks:
Student loan refund checks for Spring 2008 for previous borrowers will be released beginning January 25, 2008. Refund checks for first time borrowers will be released beginning February 11, 2008. Please check your campus connect account for the amount and availability of your refund. Refund checks are disbursed by the Business Office. All Loan paperwork (e.g. Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note) must have been completed before loan refund checks are disbursed.
If you decide you do not want your student loan after you have completed the loan process, please notify the Financial Aid Office in writing for cancellation.
Deadlines:
Summer 2008
To be eligible to receive summer financial aid you must have attended ASU-Beebe the prior semester or plan to attend the upcoming fall semester and have remaining eligibility for the current academic year. First-time students must enroll for the intersession or first summer session. Visiting students who attend summer school only are not eligible for student aid. In addition, you must be pursuing a degree at ASU–Beebe. Deadline March 31, 2008.
Fall 2008
ASU–Beebe's priority date for financial aid applications is June 1 to ensure aid is available for the fall semester. After June 1, applications are processed on a first come, first served basis.
Spring 2009
ASU–Beebe's priority date for financial aid applications is November 1, 2008.
First–Time Entering Student Loan Borrower
First-time entering student loan borrowers must be enrolled 30 days before loan funds will be applied to their account. Payment arrangements must be made with the Business office if a student is loan only
