Credit by Examination
Advanced Placement
The Advanced Placement Program, sponsored by the College Board, offers high school students the opportunity to participate in challenging college-level course work. Students can receive credit, advanced placement, or both from many colleges and universities. ASU-Beebe awards AP credit as shown in the chart below.

AP credit is not awarded for a course the student has already completed at the college/university level.
AP credit granted at other institutions is not automatically transferable to Arkansas State University–Beebe. Students who wish to transfer AP credit must submit official documentation of earned scores.
Students who establish their eligibility to receive AP credit shall have credit recorded without grade points on their permanent records after they have been enrolled at ASU–Beebe for a full summer or semester.
CLEP (College Level Examination Program)
Arkansas State University–Beebe awards up to 30 semester hours of university credit through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). If CLEP examination scores indicate that a student is eligible to receive college credit, this credit is recorded on the student's permanent record without grades or grade points after the student has earned credit at Arkansas State University–Beebe for a full semester. For information on CLEP or other testing programs, students should visit the web site or contact the director of testing in the Counseling Center of Arkansas State University–Beebe.

DANTES/DSST
At the current time, ASU–Beebe only accepts the Fundamentals of College Algebra exam with a minimum score of 47. Students with this score will be awarded MATH1023 College Algebra.
