Plumbing Apprenticeship

The State of Arkansas requires a person working in the plumbing field must either have a journeyman or master plumber license or be enrolled in an approved plumbing apprenticeship program working toward that goal.

At ASUB Heber Springs, we offer a four-year Plumbing Apprenticeship program designed for those working in the plumbing field and interested in obtaining a plumbing journeyman's license. Our courses are taught by instructors with years of combined experience in the field and in the classroom based on a program designed by the Heber Springs Plumbing Apprenticeship Committee with approval by the Arkansas Department of Career Education State Apprenticeship Office.

To qualify for the plumbing apprenticeship program, students must be employed by a master plumber and gaining 2000 on-the-job training hours per year. Once employed under the supervision of a master plumber, a student has thirty (30) days to enroll in a state approved apprenticeship program.
