The State of Arkansas requires a person working in the electrical field must either have a journeyman or master electrician license or be enrolled in an approved electrical apprenticeship program working toward that goal. At ASUB Heber Springs, we offer a four-year Electrical Apprenticeship program designed for those working in the electrical field and interested in obtaining an electrical journeyman's license. Our courses are taught by instructors with years of combined experience in the field and in the classroom based on a program designed by a local electrical committee with approval by the Arkansas Department of Career Education State Apprenticeship Office.
To qualify for the electrical apprenticeship program, students must be employed by a master electrician and gaining 2000 on-the-job training hours per year.
